It also brings up modern IQ data, noting that while averages are similar, men show greater variance. Furthermore, it discusses Ayn Rand’s Objectivism and the idea that true intelligence lies in simplifying the complex rather than hiding behind jargon.

My Opinion: In my view, classical philosophers were merely scratching the surface when judging women. The video provides data on IQ distribution showing that while the averages are equal, the male variance is higher. To claim that women are incapable of reaching the depths of philosophy or advanced science without considering—or perhaps even knowing—the biological mechanisms behind it is simply the ignorant judgment of the uninformed. Moreover, considering how heavy gender prejudice was in the past, how could these men possibly know what women were capable of when women were never given the chance to participate?

The Biological Mechanism Behind the Variance: The reason for this "Greater Male Variability" lies in genetics. Since females have two X chromosomes, they benefit from a "backup" system; if one gene is faulty, the other can often compensate, leading to more stability and consistency in traits like intelligence. In contrast, males have an XY pairing. Because the Y chromosome is much smaller and lacks many of the genes found on the X, any mutation or extreme trait on their single X chromosome—whether exceptionally good or bad—is more likely to be expressed. From an evolutionary standpoint, this makes males the "experimental" sex, tending toward high-risk, high-reward biological strategies to secure better genes, even if it means a higher likelihood of negative outcomes.

Final Thoughts: Finally, the video uses examples of people "faking" wisdom on social media to generalize, but this doesn't prove anything about women as a whole. I see this as a low-handed attempt to diminish women's intellectual standing. We must remember that IQ follows a normal distribution; while the "tail" of the curve for extreme geniuses might have fewer women statistically, that number is never zero. There have always been, and will always be, women at the peak of intellectual achievement.
